Clean-up Days – Werder Collects with Us
A successful start to Bremen’s clean-up days around the wohninvest WESERSTADION. Bremen’s city cleaning service, together with SV Werder Bremen, was able to inspire over 23,000 helpers for the largest environmental participatory event. 400 Werder residents will help clean up on the first day of the event.
Anne-Kathrin Laufmann, Managing Director Sport & Sustainability at SV Werder Bremen, welcomed the numerous helpers at the beginning of the action day together with stadium announcer Arnd Zeigler, Bundesliga professionals Anthony Jung and Jens Stage as well as the Bremen City Cleaning Service.
“If you love Bremen, you collect and if you love Werder, even more so. Under the motto, we all want to work together today to ensure that we collect as much garbage as possible around the stadium, in the Pauliner Marsch and around Peterswerder, are actively involved and are committed to a very good cause.”

A topic that is close to the hearts of many people
“I’m very much in favor of doing it again next year. One thing is to collect the garbage and the other is what it does to you: Before, I thought there was hardly any garbage here, then you realize that there is still a lot of garbage on the ground. If we know what this ultimately does to the environment, I think it’s much more important that everyone deals with it.”
