The repainting of the Cívitas Metropolitano committed to sustainability coming to the end
Thanks to the innovative 100% Spanish technology used by Graphenstone, the club Atletico Madrid will contribute to improving air quality around the stadium.
During the repainting works of the Cívitas Metropolitano innovative technology has been used. This is based on the principles of sustainability and energy efficiency characteristic of the stadium, which has always tried to reduce the carbon footprint in all its facilities.
Thus the lime-based Graphenstone coatings and graphene fibers used in this process will absorb 4,100 kg of CO2 during drying, the same amount that a forest of 70,000 trees absorbs in one day, making this stadium the most sustainable in Europe.
The stadium will so contribute to improving the air quality around the M-40, one of Madrid’s ring road highways.
“We want to contribute to the well-being of people through the construction sector and act as a reference point for other companies, meeting the requirements of ecological and sustainable construction. Because, for us, innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.”
Miguel Ángel Arjona, CEO of Graphenstone
